Infertility and Donating Sperm
There is nothing new about sperm donation as it has been practiced for many years as a method to help a person conceive, sometimes for free but more commonly it is for a fee. Still a relatively simple treatment, it dates back over fifty years and is one of the oldest procedures in reproductive medicine. Many couples use sperm donation as a conception method of choice if the male partner has no sperm and as such it has become very well established.
Multiple treatments may be requires as it is not always successful but sperm donation has become increasingly popular owing the rise in male infertility rates. During recent years it has also become more commonplace for single women without a partner to use sperm donation as a method to become mothers. For many couples that are not able to conceive naturally, sperm donation might be the only way they can experience the joys of natural parenthood.
There are times when a family member is able to donate sperm but if there is a genetic problem this route cannot be used. To many women, sperm donation is the only answer and it’s a valuable service as adoption may not always be the ideal answer, either financially or because the woman wants to carry her own child. Some men who are undergoing chemotherapy to cure germ-cell tumors or hematological malignancies are routinely offered the option of sperm donation to offset the chance that they may not be able to father a child at a later date.
Unfortunately, as with all these types of matters, the law and ethics societies have begun to get involved with the issue of sperm donation. Many young now see sperm donation as just a way to earn money easily because when you think that a specimen is worth around 0 it’s more lucrative than giving blood. The fertility industry relies heavily on sperm and egg donors as it has become a very lucrative business. More importantly, while sperm donation is a fairly quick and easy procedure, the same cannot be said of egg donation as a woman will have to go through several weeks of injections. Sperm insemination and consequently procreation, is either in the uterus or in vitro from ejaculated and washed spermatozoa.
Every country has its own rules regarding sperm donation, some allow anonymity, while others do not just as some accept sperm donors but not egg. Until there is international law regarding this, there will be an increase in couples traveling to different countries to have sperm or egg donation as infertility rates rise and adoption becomes an increasingly costly and difficult option.

Lost Weight After Pregnancy
Almost all recent mothers will think about how they are going to lose weight after the pregnancy but this shouldn’t be their prime concern after giving birth. Although some blame must be attributed to the press with their constant bombardment for celebrities who have managed to reclaim their figure in record time. Anyone famous will have access to trainers so their weight loss after pregnancy will not be such a trial especially as they will probably been approached for a number of baby endorsements prior t the birth.
The chances of a regular mother having the facilities for quick weight loss after pregnancy is unlikely unless they have a very healthy bank balance. A great deal of strain is placed on a woman when she gives birth so initially she really should be looking at recovering by ensuring she maintains a healthy diet. A healthy diet means one that contains some fiber which should equal around two thousand calories a day; a diet similar to the one shown here:
* Half as carbohydrates,
* Thirty percent intake of protein
* Ten percent intake of fats
OK, the percentage totals don’t add up to 100 percent but there’s a reason for this as every diet should leave a little room for enjoyment and there is no need to go to extremes so have some of the foods you enjoy without guilt, just don’t go crazy. As busy as a new mother is, it is still advisable for her to make an effort to get some moderate exercise and work towards a gradual increase in stamina, muscle tone, and overall fitness. These activities will also provide the extra benefit of mood-elevation but moderation is the key; a new mother should enjoy the time spent exercising without the dread of it feeling like going to work.
This is the best way to achieve weight loss after pregnancy but it will depend on a number of factors, including the amount of weight you gained before you gave birth. It is important that every mother knows that certain metabolic changes took place when the baby was born which can also have an effect on how quickly she loses weight. In order to lose weight after pregnancy both safely, and effectively, a new mother should undertake a program of slow and steady dieting along with exercise that will produce long-term beneficial results.
The ideal situation of reducing body fat and regaining muscle tone after birth will take some time and this is not something that should be rushed. With careful planning, your weight and physical fitness level should improve back to its original state within a reasonable amount of time. All mothers should be aware that it is possible the last few pounds you are desperate to lose will not disappear until after the breast feeding has stopped.

How Soon Do I Pregnant
Many women undergoing fertility treatment are too impatient to wait for their fertility clinic to perform a pregnancy test on them and resort to buying one from their local drug store. Please bear in mind that often when home pregnancy tests are carried out too soon after treatment, they can often indicate a false positive result.
If you are pregnant, you may start to notice other clues such as missing your period, feeling or being sick, sore breasts, wanting to go to the toilet more often, tiredness, sensitivity to strong tastes and smells, as well as mood swings.
Normally the fertility clinic will keep in contact with you when you become pregnant so they can carry out an ultrasound scan to ensure your baby’s development is healthy.
Don’t forget that the fact that you have become pregnant might bring mixed feelings especially if you have been trying for a long time so it might take a little while to become used to the fact you’re having a baby. Don’t worry if you have these feelings, many expectant mothers have them when they learn they are going to have a baby and it affects those that have had a natural pregnancy in equally with those who have used a fertility clinic.
There are some situations which may mean you need more scans or appointments at the hospital. These include previous miscarriages or stillbirths, if expecting twins, triplets or more and your general health. An additional reason is when the expectant mother is more mature because as you get older the more likely it is that problems will occur.
It is not possible to say that they will not be any problems experienced in a pregnancy, whether it was assisted or not because they all carry some risk but most of the time these are only minor. Try to enjoy your pregnancy as much as possible and relax even though it might be easier said than done.
Unfortunately the number of miscarriages after using In Vitro Fertilization is slightly higher than those after normal conception. There are two main reasons for this, the first being that women that have fertility treatment have a pregnancy test quite early in the pregnancy.
