Treating Chlamydia
Chlamydia is passed through by having sex with someone infected with the disease. Caring for your sexual health it is always important to be well protected. If you failed on the first point then there are some Chlamydia treatments around.
The full name for this nasty disease is Chlamydia Trachomatis, the disease is not all that hard to treat but can have serious downsides if left without treatment for any length of time. It may not surprise you that Chlamydia is the most sexually transmitted disease in the United Stateds. this is likely the case for many other countries as well. People who like to sleep around are the most prone to contracting the disease.
Chlamydia is often accompanied by some other sexually transmitted diseases. For this reason you should ensure you get tested for all STDs incase you have got something else as well.
Turning our attention to women’s health regular checkups for STDs will help you avoid the disease that is contracted by 50% of women before they reach the age of 30. It is common that the infected person may not even notice the symptoms. Take care because if untreated Chlamydia will start to damage the ovaries, uterus and fallopian tubes ultimately making you infertile.
Many young women do not consider the very real situation of never being able to have children and only realise when it is too late. Most of the time you will not be tested for your reproductive abilities when you get tested for Chlamydia so you may not find out you are infertile until further down the road.
Astonishingly seventy five percent of women and half the men never display any outward symptoms of Chlamydia.
When caught early Chlamydia can be resolved with a short period on antibiotics. If you have no symptoms the Chlamydia disease could still be affecting your body in damaging ways. Make sure you mention if you are pregnant or suspect you may be as this will have an effect on the course of action your doctor will take.
